When should you consider calling on our facilitators to manage a meeting?

1. Crucial results.
If the results are crucial for the company’s success and a wide range of different opinions are expected.

2. Firm opinions.
If participants have firm, but conflicting opinions and a consensus has to be reached.

3. No good solutions.
If you are struggling to solve a problem and new solutions need to be found.

4. You already have a strong opinion
If you already have a strong opinion on a subject but, as the leader of the meeting, you wish to ensure that this does not bias the discussion.

5. Team commitment.
If it is important to get the active commitment of all group members to a decision .

6. Neutrality of a third party.
If a neutral person is needed to insure trust or full participation.

7. Vague goal.
If the meeting goal or the process to reach this goal is unclear or not well defined.

8. Lack of expertise.
If there is a lack of expertise in running a particular type of meeting e.g. board meeting, visioning, strategic planning, project management, negotiation, problems solving, creating a new brand, product or name, etc.
